With the new 2009 season of Storm Chasers, this dynamic interactive map now displays video, weather and vehicle position highlights of the Storm Chasers vehicles corresponding to the eight new episodes. Use the CONTROL PANEL to select "Storm Chasers Episode Mode" to view these episode highlights. Please note that the vehicle positions and weather data in this view are fixed generalizations for the activity during the selected episode.
In addition, the map features an overlay that provides up-to-date weather information. On the CONTROL PANEL select "Real-time Weather Tracking" for this view.
Use the suite of map controls on the top to customize the real-time data feeds you would like to view. Click and drag the map to change the coverage area. Controls in the upper left allow you to control a range of viewing options, including zoom and radar overlay transparency.
The Vehicle Key at left is only applicable for live tracking operations during active tornado, hurricane and severe storm seasons. Live tornado tracking will resume in early 2010. Come back and enjoy the LIVE ACTION!
